Seoul National University Alumni Association in Chicago Area ("the association") was created in 1982 by SNU Alumni to promote relationships among alumni, support SNU, and provide scholarships.
The association was incorporated in Illinois as Seoul National University Alumni Assoc., Inc. – In Chicago Area and is an IRS-approved not-for-profit organization.
The association holds annual meetings, board meetings, and staff meetings.
There are three standing committees:
1. Scholarship Select Committee
2. Scholarship Fund Management Committee
3. Nomination Committee
The association has awarded scholarships annually since 1985.
